From Boy Scout to grassroots leader — a life dedicated to Manipur.
Boy Scout & Early Service
Enrolled as a Boy Scout at age 12, guiding people at Hiyangthang Lairembi Khurumba, Baruni and Thangjing festivals. High discipline and service with no thought of financial gain.
Secretary, Changangei Youth Union Club
Served as General Secretary for over a decade from 1990. Led the club to win the State Level Malika Football Tournament twice and upgraded the team to Senior B under AMFA.
Community Builder & Sponsor
Built temples, community halls, and Meira Paibi shanglens. Sponsored state-level football tournaments, felicitation programmes, the Ukiyo Literature Festival, and the Meetei Chanu pageant.

Free Medical Camps
Organized free health check-up camps including blood tests, eye screenings, and medicine distribution from 2018. Sponsored cataract operations at Shija Hospital and blood donation drives.
Irrigation & Water Supply
During the 2019 State-declared drought, provided water pumps to irrigate fields in Changangei Tamphagei, Taobungkhok, and Patsoi. Restored the Changangei Water Supply Scheme by continuously pumping water into reservoirs.
Street Lighting
Installed street lights across Changangei Maning, Mayai, Makha, Awang and Uchekon leikais; Patsoi Part-IV; Crematorium at Changangei Mayai and Awang Leikai; and Langjing Playground, Heinoupok and Lukram Leirak.
Construction Works
Built or renovated Lainingthou Khoubomba Shanglen (UKAL awarded), Ibudhou Poklenpokpa Khangpokshang, community halls at Changangei Awang Leikai and Ghari, TPYPA Club first floor, and the Longjam Lairembi Ima Laishang.
Academic Awards & Coaching
Instituted the Academic Award in 2019 under the "Education for All" vision — awarding every successful candidate of Class X and XII, not just toppers. Free HSLC coaching classes provided since 2019.
Sports & Felicitation
Sponsored the Sangai Trophy veteran football tournament (prize: Rs 1 lakh) since 2017 and the Challenge Cup twice at Mapal Kangjeibung. First in Manipur to felicitate the FIFA U-17 India players and Paonam Lily Chanu, silver medalist at the World Archery Championship 2017.
